This contemporary kitchen was originally a rear door entry space and small, dark kitchen. We removed an interior wall and added larger windows, sun tunnels, and a bright green wall to compliment the new contemporary cabinets and island. A new rubber roof was installed, and the old space-consuming radiators were replaced with a single efficient toe kick heater. White oak flooring was added and stained to match the cabinets. A white subway tile backsplash was set in place. These features, combined with plenty of recessed lighting, transformed the space into a bright gathering spot for the busy family.
